Not a Campaign per-se, but I figured as it's September, I ought to have a place to start making these these things go up. I think I have 4 game systems, and rough guesses at what I want to do in them. I've got 4 possible games, and while I have one I would really like to do, Dread, I'm gonna see what the rest of you would most like to get in, so I can try to work on those first, should a session fall apart from work or some other such thing. So here they are in brief:
1) Savage Scooby-Doo: This one is fairly straightforward, you guys will play the Mysteries Inc gang trying to sort out some kind of caper. The system for this would be Savage Worlds, aimed to be a lot less lethal and combat heavy than our first game in that system.
2) Call of Cthulhu: I'm a little less sure on where I want to take this one, but you guys will play some form of investigators trying to track down and possibly discover some Cthulhu mythos related thing. Probably on the more lethal side, because if you're taking on a Shoggoth or Old God as a puny mortal, you're not going to fare well. I have a scenario I'd kind of like to run for this, but it might well be more than a single night to get through, another reason I'd like to see if people want to do this or one of the others more.
This is also the game with the most crunchy character creation. As I understand it, you get some points to put into attributes and skills, and then to resolve a test, you want to roll under your skill level on percentile dice. It's likely to be the hardest to make characters in, but the resolving of rolls is relatively simple, as compared against Savage Worlds, and certainly no more complex than Pathfinder.
3) Monster of the Week: You guys would be some flavor of monster hunters, hunting down a monster. Think along the lines of Buffy or Supernatural. I have a beastie in mind for you guys, but finding out what it is is part of the fun. The system for this is the Powered by the Apocalypse Engine, which I have heard good things about. You pick an archetype, like a class, and then pick a stat array with stats ranging from -2 to +3. When you need to make a test, roll 2d6 and add your stat. A 10+ is good, 7-9 you succeed with a cost, lower than that I get to mess with you.
So, which ones might you guys like to try? Putting up a poll, because we have those.
