The Adventure started out with the party meeting up in the Dreamlands in Ravenrgro to lay to rest their friend Professor Lorrimor who had recently passed away. After deciding that who would be pallbearers the procession began with the Professor's daughter Kendra walking up the Dreamwake. But as the party came up to the corner of the Eversleep and Dreamwake the were met by a tall wiry retired solider by the name of Gibs
Hephenus and a group of thugs. Gibs calls out to Kendra telling here they dont want the coprse of the Prof buried in the Restlands because he believes the Prof to be a necromancer. But before things broke down Ophilia seemingly calmed down the thugs and the trudged off shooting looks at the party as they leave the Restlands. With a fight avoided the procession can begin again and upon arrival to the Prof's gravesite the party meets Father Grimburrow and the body is lowered into the grave plot. With the Prof now in his plot Father Grimburrow starts a small sermon followed up by Kendra and the party giving their final statements and sentiments.
After everyone had said their final good byes Kendra invites the party to her newly acquired home for the reading of her fathers will. Upon arriving at the Lorrimor estate the party starts to break the ice upon the suggestion of Tegron a drinking game breaks out. After about an hour of this game Councilman Vashian Heartmount enters the estate to read off the will of the Prof. After showing the party that the will is unopened and the seal still intact proceeds to crack it open. Upon cracking it open an iron key falls out and noisily hits the table. He ignores the key and reads the will (key excerpts)
“And so, over the course of my lifetime, I have seen fit to acquire a significant collection of valuable but dangerous tomes, any one of which in the wrong circumstances could have led to an awkward legal situation. While the majority of these tomes remain safe under lock and key at the Lepidstadt University, I fear that a few I have borrowed remain in a trunk in my Ravengro home." "Yet before you leave for Lepidstadt, there is the matter of another favor—please delay your journey one month and spend that period of time here in Ravengro to ensure that my daughter is safe and sound. She has no one to count on now that I am gone, and if you would aid her in setting things in order for whatever she desires over the course of this month, you would have my eternal gratitude. From my savings, I have also willed to each of you a sum of one hundred platinum coins. For safekeeping, I have left these funds with Embreth Daramid, one of my most trusted friends in Lepidstadt—she has been instructed to issue this payment upon the safe delivery of the borrowed tomes no sooner than one month after the date of the reading of this will.
Upon finishing the will the Councilman takes his leave and Kendra talks about how she is unsure whether or not she is going to stay in Ravengro. But since the party has no place to stay she offers them free room and board for the month and the party accepts her offer. Kendra then proceeds to go grab the chest mentioned in the will and returns with a small chest made of iron and oak. Kendra seems nervous about opening the chest and offers someone else to open it and Tegron then takes the key and opens the chest. In the chest was 4 books and a journal written by the Professor with dates circled on it. (Refer to the handouts section on Roll20) The 4 Books are Manual of the Order of the Palatine Eye, On Verified Madness, Serving Your Hunger, and The Umbral Leaves. The party concluded the session by researching about various events, places, and people brought up in the Professor's journal
(I will either add or give you key information you guys got into the party bag section) Party got 640xp a piece and gained 6 Trust points in Ravengro.
