This thread will be a way for other people to see variations (or exact copies) depending, of what I write down in my journal (relating to interactions with various characters during sessions.) Some of this may overlap with what I say in other threads, but having information for everyone to see sounds like it will be useful. So without further ado here's the first one.
After having been in town a few days, and hearing everyone say that the Swallowtail Festival would be exciting, I was really looking forward to see what would happen. As I understand it, the church was burnt down several years ago and the new one was just completed. There was a lot of good food and entertainment at the festival! I really liked the stuff that Ameiko made, I might have to ask her to make it again since it looks like I will be around here for a while.
I met two new people today too! I don't know their names though. Maybe I should have asked, but then the goblins came and we had to fight them off. So I will call them "Mr. Scary Face and Mr. Monkey Guy" even if I don't know their names, I should still be polite and add Mr.! Oh yeah! Hitsugaya was there (CHESTER REMEMBER IT IS HE SU GUY A NOT HES SO GAY AH.)
Before the goblins came ,we were having a lot of fun but somehow a bunch of goblins got to the center of town and ruined the festival that everyone worked so hard to prepare! I seemed to do alright, and helped kill a few even! I'm sure that Chester would be so proud! Hitsugaya and Mr. Monkey Guy had some trouble at first, but it all worked out!
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, Mr. Vin's other daughter seems to fancy Hitsugaya a bit. I dunno what to make of it, but good for him I guess?"
There was another wave of goblins after we beat back the first ones. They had like some sort of goblin bard with him that had been singing the entire time! I did not know that Mr. Scary Face would be able to match him! I was so surprised when he shouted out "Goblins squeak, goblins cry. Goblins flee or GOBLINS DIE!" but it made that goblin run into a tent... Which I then caught on fire to try to lure him out. (Sorry to whoever owned that tent thing!! It was for the good of the town!)
Chester the bird, found a person under attack so I told everyone I was going to go try to save the said person and that they were welcome to come. Everyone followed me and we found more goblins! One of them was even riding a dog! We beat those goblins too, and I even got to show off the Color Spray spell I had been practicing so hard! One of the two targets evaded, but one for two is pretty good for the first time I tried to use it in battle.
After we defeated those goblins the nobleman that we saved seemed to be hitting on me. I have already forgotten his name, but I will have to remember to use charm and tell him to go away in the future. Being a Wizard is awesome!
We went to help the sheriff interrogate goblins, apparently they are working for a human! I didn't expect that. They didn't really tell us too much information about who was in charge, but from what they did tell us, they are a human male with long dark hair. I hate to suspect a friend's family, but I may have to ask Ameiko what her father has been up to. He was supposed to speak at the festival, and he was not there! He also has long dark hair, and I think enough money to hire goblins for his own purpose.
One of the goblins also said he wanted to "motorboat" me... I don't know what it means but it sounds unpleasant. It should consider itself lucky that I didn't catch it on fire.

First thing of note that happened: Mr. Scary Face and Mr. Monkey Guy told me their names! Mr. Scary Face is Malykh and Mr. Monkey Guy is Tanaka. It's been a day since the goblin attack ruined the festival, but we have been busy. We were helping the Sheriff, Mr. Belor with the aftermath of the attack. We heard that the body of the former priest went missing, so we went to check it out. I dunno where Hitsugaya is at, but I guess we will meet up with him again sometime. In the tomb, skeletons attacked us! We took them out pretty easily. Tanaka punched one REALLY hard and it pretty much exploded into dust, it was pretty impressive. The other one also went down by Tanaka's hand, he is proving himself to be a capable fighter, maybe keeping him around will be a great idea.
After we finished the skeletons off, we noticed that the priest's body was indeed gone. There was also a robe in the corner, it had a faint magical aura and seemed to be used to summon the skeletons that we fought. I don't know how to repair it, but we are holding on to it incase we find someone that can recharge it's magical powers, or need it as part of the investigation. When we went back to town, we decided to look for Mr. Foxglove, he said he would reward us for helping him so we might as well collect. I made sure to bring Tanaka and Malykh with me, I didn't want to go visit him alone. He asked us if we would like to go on a boar hunt with him and we all agreed, he also found out that we didn't have horses, so he bought us all a light horse. I named mine Admiral Jameson! Seemed like a fun name for a horse. He also gave us 20 gold, which is much appreciated.
The boar hunt went well. Mr. Foxglove spent most of the time talking but that's alright. The others seemed to enjoy his stories. When we found a boar, the battle was over quickly. I missed my shot, but Malykh hit the boar, and then Tanaka had a great shot that easily killed it. I was very impressed by their aim. We took the boar back to the Rusty Dragon for Ameiko to make a meal out of it. We intended to arrive in a timely fashion for dinner, but then we ended up getting involved in a play being put on by Cyrdak! But before we agreed to help in the play, we also talked to the leader of the mercantile guild about some of the comings and goings of different wagons but didn't get any info of particular value. We helped out a lot with the play, and everyone enjoyed it! Cyrdak and the guy from the mercantile guild kept making eyes at each other during the play. I wonder which one is the catcher.
We went back to the Rusty Dragon, and had some of the boar that was left. We went to sleep and the next morning more events happened. Early in the morning, a lady came running across town, baby in hand, older child at her side. She claimed that her son had witnessed a goblin catch a cat on fire and dance around, and that another goblin was hiding in her son's closet. She showed us his arm, and he did indeed have what looked to be bite marks. I was a little reluctant to help though, as the sheriff might have had some important information for us, but in the end we went over to help. She said her husband was back trying to take care of the problem himself. That sounds like a terrible idea. We walk into the house, and what do we find? The husband laying face down dead. When we move his body, a goblin springs out to attack us, but Malykh and Tanaka take care of him quickly. We cut off his ears to sell to the stable owner, but we didn't get the goblin's name. What a shame. When we go out to let the family know that the problem was taken care of I was the one that had to deal with the news. I say "Good news and bad news. Good news, the goblin is dead. Bad news: you shouldn't have left your husband here alone." I was trying to be diplomatic, and you know, let the family down easy but the wife on the verge of tears shouts "IS MY HUSBAND ALIVE??" I personally thought I was pretty clear in stating that he didn't make it, but she needed things to be a bit more blunt apparently. So I shoult "NO. HE IS DEAD." She starts crying, the kid starts crying but really, that was a pretty tame way to deliver the news. It isn't like I shouted "YOUR HUSBAND IS DEAD AND WE FOUND THE GOBLIN EATING HIS FACE FOR BREAKFAST. SUCKS TO BE HIM" I just said he was dead. Nethys give me strength. Dealing with this lady was difficult.
So after that affair was taken care of, we met up with the sheriff again, he introduced us to this elf lady named Shalelu. She was a ranger/scout type person that maybe could tell us a bit more about the tracks that we found near the crypt tomb thing. She also gave us a history lesson about the five goblin tribes and the figures they regard as heroes. It was pretty cool overall. I hope she doesn't mind retelling the tale for Hitsugaya, wherever he is.
Surprisingly Chester was very well behaved today. I won't count on this happening often.
After we were done with Shalelu, the sheriff told us he was leaving town for a bit to get more help. He asked us to help keep the peace while he was gone. This should be interesting, but I have a feeling bad things are going to happen. After everything was done, we went back to enjoy a peaceful night at the Rusty Dragon.
Unfortunately, Ameiko's father, Lonjiku "I'm a giant asshole and suspicious as hell" Kaijitsu decided to show his face at the inn once again. He came in yelling in his native tongue, and then noticed the three of us sitting at a table. The man had the nerve to approach us and threw a fit that we protected the people of Sandpoint from the goblin attack, saying that we should have left it to the guard. I called him out on his own whereabouts, though Tanaka and Malykh seemed less than thrilled that I was talking back to a noble. I don't care who you are, when I help out and save some lives and someone who wasn't even THERE to see what happened comes to tell me I was in the wrong? I told him quite bluntly that I thought he had everything to do with this attack from goblins. He had the good fortune to be "ill" and not talk at a time he was supposed to, a time right BEFORE the goblins attacked. As I was clearly getting the better of the senile fool in the argument, Ameiko came out from the kitchen, ladle in hand. They started yelling in their native tongue, and Lonjiku seemed to get frustrated and tried to grab his daughter by the hair. He is old, and not very athletic it seems, as Ameiko dodged easily and then bashed him in the head with her ladle. He shouted that she is as dead to him as his mother, and stormed out of the establishment. I apologized that her father is a dick as she scooped the ladle off of the ground. She announced to the common room "I'll need a new ladle, Jackass stew isn't on the menu." and everyone cheered. I offered to help her back in the kitchen, and went off to do so.

Entry 3
So... a lot happened in a very short amount of time. I woke up the following morning, a knock on my door. I crack it open to see one of the halfing women that helps Ameiko around the Rusty Dragon. She asked to speak with myself, and the rest of the team in private. I obliged her request, and sent Chester to fetch the others. As it turns out, Ameiko had gone missing, the only clue a letter from her brother, asking for her to meet him at the glassworks at midnight. She was worried, as expected, and asked for us to check up on what was going on. Since I found Lonjiku to be quite suspicious, and Ameiko had been nothing but kind to us, I was definitely ready to go and do whatever we had to do to help out.
We went over to the Glassworks, and it was completely locked up. I went to go listen in at the service entrance we thought they were talking about in the letter, but I hit my head on the door and attracted a bunch of attention from some of the locals with my... colorful language. I asked them where the entrance was, feigning ignorance, since I am new to town. They told me it was around the corner, and not where I was so I went to regroup with my party. Hitsugaya went up onto the roof to investigate further. I sent Chester with him, just in case. We decided to go in through the service entrance. Tanaka could open a lock, so I opted to go and create a distraction when we learned goblins were inside.
It was the first time I had cursed my love of magic, and general avoidance of physical training. I threw a rock at the window, it failed to break. I swung 2 more times with my staff, and it failed to break. It made enough noise that it alerted the goblins that were inside though! so they came charging over to see what was going on and finished the job. As soon as the three of them were looking out of the window at me, I cast color spray through the window, it caught them by surprise and they were all knocked unconscious. I could have just left it at that, but instead I tried to jump through the window to finish them off. I stumbled a little bit and cut my leg on the broken glass, but I got inside and finished two of them off, before a fourth peeked his head in and ran off screaming. About that time, Tanaka came from another part of the building. I left the last unconscious goblin to him, and ran off after the goblin that had seen me. Apparently at some point, Chester had flew over and talked to them to let them know that Hitsugaya was under attack by goblins, so they went running in to help out a bit.. more quickly.
Lonjiku was dead, someone had covered him in molten glass, to let it dry. It was pretty messed up. I mean I hated the guy and thought he was pretty shady, but even a jerk doesn't deserve to die like that.
As I was fighting the fourth goblin, I saw Hitsugaya fall into the building from the roof. It was quite funny.
The goblins ran off, into the basement. We went to chase after them. Malyhk was down stairs already, apparently pretty well hidden. Hitsugaya and Tanaka argued about it and confused Malyhk a bit. Someone punched at Malyhk from around the corner, and we started to fight again. It sounded like Malyhk got punched in the face or something, he let out a shout and I heard his axe drop. But some of the goblins were fighting me again. I killed one with my staff. It was a good day for fighting, apparently! Then Hitsugaya tried to sneak past the guy that beat up Malyhk. It didn't go so well, and Hitsugaya got punched really hard. So hard in fact that he turned into a fox! I was so surprised! I thought he was a person, but he was an animal?? Malyhk was on the ground too, but if our two good fighters couldn't handle that guy I probably shouldn't go fight him with my quarterstaff! I did what I could to help and threw some acid bolts at him, while Tanaka went around to flank him. Another goblin attacked me, and I killed that one too. At some point, a voice yelled if anyone was in here, and I called back saying we had two people hurt and could use some help. A paladin lady showed up, but I forgot her name. We were in the middle of a battle, after all! Anyways, Tanaka and the guy that had already beat down Malyhk and Hitsugaya was in a giant fight with Tanaka. Tanaka lost. I thought that some of these guys might die, but then the guy that had hurt all of them ran away. I guess he was hurt pretty bad too.
I followed him to see where he was going, and it looked like he ran out of a tunnel. We had some other problems to take care of though. We hadn't seen Ameiko, and every other non-goblin that we had seen in the glassworks was dead. We looked around a bit, and found her locked in a small room, she was pretty hurt. The paladin lady took her back to the inn. We were keeping Hitsugaya in the glassworks. He had to have a reason why he didn't tell us he was a fox, so we figured we shouldn't show everyone in town. There was also a notebook, it turns out the guy we fought was Ameiko's brother. Too much has happened for me to remember his name. But it was scary. The notebook had plans that looked exactly like the invasion of the town during the festival. He is working with demons, and plans on attacking the town again soon. All of this right after the sheriff had left town. This is not good.
I went with Tanaka to the Guardhouse, to see if I could talk to whoever was in charge while the sheriff was gone. He wasn't there, but I talked to the guards that were there. I warned them, that we were involved in something messy, and that if they didn't want to hear it they should leave the room. Everyone stayed. It seemed like they regretted it as I told them about what had happened. Especially the part about Lonjiku being turned into the thing he loved the most. Glass.
In the meantime, we have decided to take matters into our own hands. If anyone from town wants to help, of course they are more than welcome to. But I cannot sit here idly, while the town that has for the most part shown us nothing but hospitality is facing perhaps the greatest danger it has ever faced. We are in the process of quickly organizing an expedition into the tunnel that we found under the glassworks. It might take a couple of days, as the others need to heal up after the injuries that they received in battle. There is a plan for a greater assault on the nice town of Sandpoint, and the place of origin is the glassworks tunnels. I'm afraid that if we wait for the sheriff to get back before taking action it will be too late.

Another quick entry in the journal! Tanaka went off to go fetch the sheriff, with a guard.
I went around town talking to some of the important figures, letting them know what was going on and had the mayor make copies of the invasion plans to hand over to the guards for their own purposes. They can pin them on the wall or draw on them or whatever else they need to do!
In Tanaka's absence, we were joined by Aleighia (spelling check please!) a Paladin! She asked me a bunch of questions about Malyhk but I think he seems like an okay guy.
In the tunnel under the glassworks, we found the way that Sudo likely went it led out to a cliff with a ladder going down, but Hitsugaya insisted on going another way. The way he went had a sinspawn outside of what appeared to be some sort of temple. We found a very elegant statue that I think is of one of the Runelords, the Runelord of Wrath, if memory serves. It had a pretty fancy weapon in its hand and Hitsugaya stole it. A bit further in we found some sort of female demon thing. It screamed that we were defiling mother's sanctum and summoned two sinspawn. We quickly dispatched the sinspawn, but the demon proved to be an issue. At one point it even had the nerve to go after Chester! After a very long fight, A crossbow bolt from me flew true and struck the demon through the eye, killing it. Chester ate the other eye, for vengence of course. Malyhk in anger pretty much destroyed the rest of the body. We took its magical dagger, and a fancy tiara. It had a nice black silk dress, but cutting up the body was a much better reward than gold, apparently!
With everyone else injured, we escaped from the temple, and went back up into the glassworks. Looks like we need another day or two to rest up before we continue on our exploration of this temple. Chester stayed behind to keep watch. He will be getting some yummy treats later as payment!
