Core Races
Humans
Found just about everywhere with personalities and cultures as varied as the lands they inhabit
Elves
Similar to humans in the varied lands that they inhabit though in most cases in far lower numbers. The most well known elves of Deiwrought are the Imperial elves of the Ordawn empire and the elves of Aevanti. The elves of the Ordawn empire are known for their mobility and wanderlust, the elves of Aevanti are known for their arrogance but also for their martial prowess.
Half-Elves
Found everywhere that humans and elves live together, half-elves are a common sight in the Ordawn empire where they are perhaps most accepted. The Aevanti elves tend to look down upon half-elves as lesser beings on par with their human progenitors though. Elsewhere, tribe and clan allegiances among elves and humans tend to lead to half-elves being shunned as the product of taboo romance.
Half-Orcs
Due to the savage nature of most of the orcs of Deiwrought half-orcs are rarely welcome among civilized society. In the Ordawn empire, they face perhaps the greatest difficulty where they might be assumed to be escaped slaves. Those in the Ordawn empire often seek refuge among the Iron Kingdoms where a larger orc population with a reputation for (comparative) civility exists.
Dwarves
The dwarves of Deiwrought are quite flexible in their inclinations. From the surface dwelling Imperial dwarves of the Ordawn empire to the seafaring dwarves of the Leazus archipelago, dwarves are a people of commerce and stalwart endurance. The xenophobic dwarves of Valateas are some of the most prominent dwarves if only because of their reputation for harassing trade lanes and their rigid caste system.
Halflings
A common race that often lives alongside dwarves, most halflings live on the continent of Dolan on the plains.
Gnomes
A typically nomadic race that plays to their natural wanderlust even amongst settled lands, gnomes are often viewed with suspicion by more established peoples. Because of their nomadic nature, they can be found anywhere in small numbers but are most common on the continent of Dolan.
