Plan on having a sizable amount of information about the city so felt it would be best to make it a thread of its own. If not we can merge with Ordawn Empire later.
Goldthrone is the capital of the Ordawn Empire. It’s a sprawling metropolis with over one million inhabitants. It is situated in the Ordawn Province, on the mouth of the Dragon’s tongue river that spills into the Emperor’s Bay. The metropolis is covered in canals that spread through the city like veins.
People
Vaulen III: Emperor of the Ordawn Empire. You will probably never meet him, for you are a filthy pleb.
Osco Bywick: A Halfling that used to be an adventurer. He tells many a tale of his former glory, but now just runs a bar. Has a grudge against a mysterious figure named “Woogleswick” that nobody else seems to have ever heard of, but he curses the name quite often. Many of the people around town seem to think that he is rather reliable despite the fact that he is nearly blind. Also owns a few buildings that are used primarily as warehouses for merchants or other travelers that need to rent a space to store their goods, or for him to store less perishable goods that the Wolverine Den does not have the space to hold.
Places of Interest
The Wolverine Den: A bar/small inn run by the loveable Osco Bywick. Many a rumour flows through the loose lips of the drunken patrons. Located in the Harbor Quarter (Name subject to change)
The Imperial Academy (Main Branch): Pretty much the go to place for any aspiring magi. Also kind of the governing body of the Arcane in the Ordawn Empire, making sure that sactioned magi are not up to anything suspicious.
Goldthrone’s Port: A bustling area of commerce, a large amount of sea faring traffic can be located at the expansive port facilities that blanket the harbor. A good place to find an honest man trying to make a bit of coin for some honest work, or many merchants hawking “exotic” wares or random trinkets to the foreigners that are entering on business.
Clarence’s Solutions: A modest shop run by a man named Clarence who claims to be an alchemist. Sells a variety of easy to find potions for the adventurer in need.
The Shining Blade: A shop that specializes in weapons, has a wide selection with any common weapon readily available and a few that are a bit more exotic for sale.
Organizations
The Iron Tempest: Mercenary Guild run by the Eisenburg and Hart families (Lesser nobles).
The Free Tusks: Orcish run thieves guild known for their brutish methods.
(Name undecided): Thieves guild that has had a large amount of success in evading capture by the guards of the town. Currently there many merchants and other somewhat wealthy, but not quite noble individuals that are being troubled by them.
