I'm going to try and chronicle this adventure a little bit. This section is also to be used for when someone wants their character to be doing something between sessions. Each game should be its own session, the interludes will be listed as 1.5, 2.5, etc.
For session zero, I would like to hear a little bit about your characters. Give me the basics, like a name, race, class and brief physical description. It cn be rough heights, hair(or in some of your cases fur) color etc. Tell me why they are here, how long they have been here, and a little of their background. You may also mention any interaction they may have had with other characters, and if you have been in town, I will let you know what you may have learned about the NPCs. Also note that if you do not put anything in this session, I may take it upon myself to write something for you. Probably to amuse myself. No promises you'll like it, so I'd recommend posting.

Cecilia has been hanging around town for at least a few days, ideally she arrived 5 days prior to the start of the festival. Standing at 5'2 with a build more on the slender side, somewhat messy brown hair falls onto her shoulders, with dark green eyes. Chester, the thrush often finds a perch on her shoulder. Most people just assume that he is a well trained pet.
In the time that Cecilia has been in town, she has been spending time hanging around the Rusty Dragon inn. For a couple of reasons. First is information. (we can handle this however you want, I have +9 on knowledge local if you want to just have me take 20 since I have been in town a bit). Next, a place to stay. New to the area, Cecilia has been talking to the proprietress Ameiko Kaijitsu, hoping to make a connection and also offering to help in many ways. ( A festival is coming, things are bound to be busy. Extra hands might be needed? Wouldn't be taking money, but perhaps an RP way for me to have a place to stay during the festival?) Cecilia would be spending most of the days before the festival starts around the inn, talking to people, and perhaps venturing out into town a bit to uncover some more knowledge, and potentially find a source of history for the town. (She has heard that the festival is to celebrate the church being rebuilt, so maybe some information about the whole incident that lead to the church being burned down, and we can go through whatever rabbit holes pop up because of that information afterwards.)
Cecilia has also ventured around to the different merchants, and has probably had some amount of interaction with Ven Vinder, as he owns the general store and she would be restocking on supplies like rations and lantern oil. In her exploration of the town over the few days, she may have had a run in with the mayor, Kendra Deverin, or the sheriff Belor Hemlock, but not enough to really know anything about them, or be particularly memorable in their next encounter.
I think that covers everything for now, if I am missing some stuff, I can always expand later, but at least it's a start.

Malykh stands a little over 6 feet tall and to the casual viewer seems to have, well, pronounced features. Around town he wears a brownish red (scholar's) outfit; a robe, a cloak, a scarf, and a cap. Came in to town on a ship, mostly looking for work. He checked in at the Rusty Dragon Inn and has been in town for about 5 days. Upon hearing about the festival he has decided to stay in town for the festivities and, as a mercenary, has likely checked in with the sheriff and mayor inquiring about security/peacekeeping work (though I figure in the time he has been there he has seen how quiet the place is, and unless there is usually a large amount of outoftowners, it probably isn't a huge concern, however I would imagine it be an attempt at using Profession: Soldier). In the meantime he has likely been observing the town gathering information and has visited the Vinder's General Store, the Hagfish Tavern and Sandpoint Theater, probably hasn't learned too much though.

Cecilia has been working as an extra hand tidying up rooms and doing washing for the Rusty Dragon, and has heard a few things. Firstly, she has met a few important people in the town, some with more frequency than others. She is familiar with Ameiko Kaijitsu, and some other townsfolk who have come into the inn for the food. Among these encounters, she has heard from Ibor Thorn that the ghost of Chopper still haunts the isle to the north. After a few more mugs of ale, the tale of the Chopper is told in gruesome detail. A skilled carver named Jervis Stoot had a house built on the tidal isle north of the town near the old lighthouse. He was an eccentric man, but mostly friendly, and carved beautiful birds out of wood when the mood struck him. However, in the fall about 5 years back, bodies began to mount in Sandpoint. Over the course of a month, 25 victims were found, each in the same terrible state. The body was found with significant wounds to the head and torso, the hands and feet were removed and stacked nearby, and the eyes and tongue were missing. The killer was excellent at avoiding traps and pursuit, and wore down the town guard, including then sheriff Avertin. One night though, Avertin caught and fought with the Chopper, wounding him in the process, but was ultimately killed. His and the most recent victim before him had their bodies found by Belor Hemlock, a few minutes later, and followed the blood trail. It led out to Soot's Rock, where the men quickly followed it up, fearing Soot was in danger. When they reached the house however, it became clear that Soot and the Chopper were one in the same. He had built an altar to a demonic lord, and Soot was found dead there, his eyes and tongue plucked out as the last offering. The house has since been burned and Soot himself was burned, his ashes blessed, and scattered, but Thorn claims it has failed and that he has seen the ghost of the Chopper from the beach on a few moonless nights. Most agree that those nights tended to coincide with nights Thorn had also had a few more drinks than he should have. Talk turns to the other unfortunate event of the time known as the "Late Unpleasentness" by the locals, the fire that claimed the old church, as well as the North Coast stables, the White Deer inn, and several houses. Only a month after the Chopper was brought down, it was a sad blow to the town, especially the loss of the town priest, Ezakien Tobyn and his beautiful adopted daughter Nualia. Talk then turns to the new church and of the festival, lightening the mood. Another rumor which is flying around town is that Ven Vinder's daughter Katherine is involved romantically with Banny Harker from the mill. Ven is not at all happy about this, and has become increasingly focused on his daughter's night life. This has not solved the percieved problem, and may in fact have allowed another to become worse. Ven's other daughter, Shayliss seems to have quite the voracious appetite for carnal pleasure herself, and on a few occasions people claim to have seen her sneaking off with some lad. The most unusual encounter that Cecilia has seen however, seemed to come from Ameiko's father. He came to the Rusty Dragon late the night before the festival and spoke with Ameiko in Minkaian, the language of their people. He seemed rather upset and eventually stormed off in a huff. When asked, Ameiko said she would rather not talk any further about the old fool and his paranoid ideas.
(I'll write more about Malyk's tie in town tomorrow, and possibly add to this. When I now what Hitsugaya and Tanaka have been doing I will add them to this as well.)

Hitsugaya is a 17 year old Kitsune with red/silver fur and is 5'7" with red eyes. Hitsugaya comes walking into town in his human form due to his change shape ability so his features in this form are a white 5'7" male with silver hair and red eyes. As he has only been in town for a couple hours when he makes his way to the inn/bar to find some information bout anyone barging about killing a ninja clan leader by talking to the inn/bar keeper. As he was heading out of the inn/bar Hitsugaya over hears talk about the bodies piling and how the killer was excellent at avoiding traps and pursuit. Hitsugaya though is sounded a lot like his training so he is about to head out to investigate these murders.

Tanaka is a 20 year old Varana standing 5ft 5in weighing in at 130 pounds with ivory fur and blues eyes.
Tanaka enters Sandpoint with what looks to be preparation for some big event. I decide before looking around this town it would be best to acquire a room for the night. After checking in I decide to ask around the inn to see what all the prep work going on is about. Then I decide to inquire with some of the towns people if there is anything that i can be of assistance with setting up. If nothing can be done to help i decide to poke around an try to learn some of the history of the town. Otherwise I decide to just walk around town to just check out and gain my bearings and learn the layout of town.

(OK, sorry about the lateness of the post, I mean to get Al's up last night, but got into an RP session I'll describe below. Thanks everyone for posting something up here. If you have any additions amendments or objections to anything I post, let me know and I can change it.)
Malykh's arrival in town caused a bit of a stir. While Malykh mostly kept his face fairly well covered, there has been a bit of talk going around that he is clearly something different from their usual travelers. This impression of apprehension has lessened significantly in the past two days, thanks largely two two major events. After speaking with the sheriff, Belor Hemlock, and learning there was not much in the way of policing work available, Belor invited Malykh to the Hagfish tavern, both to get to know the new traveler who's caused such a stir a bit better, but also to try and determine if Malykh was a danger. While they were there, Malykh saw the tank for the hagfish Norah, from whence the tavern gets its name. When he asked about the pouch of coins hanging beside it, he was told that if he could drink a tankard of the water in the tank, they were his. All it took was a silver. Malykh accepted the challenge, but only got half way through the vile smelling and even worse tasting mug of slime before vomiting up the mug and most of his last meal. This however, did seem to put the patrons of the tavern more at ease with their new drinking partner. It was good for them to see that even this demon of a man couldn't down the drink.
The second major factor which has reduced Malykh's relative interest to the town at large was the arrival of Tanaka. While Malykh is rather fearsome to behold, a wandering monkey man was a bit more of a draw. Tanaka has been a favorite of some of the children, who often ask to touch his fur, particularly his tail. While Malykh has inspired a bit of fear in some of the townsfolk, Tanka is more viewed as a curiosity. When he began asking if there were anything he could do to assist with the setting up of the festival, one merchant, Savah quickly took him up on his offer. Hoping to make use of the exotic traveler, she inquired as to whether he was skilled enough to try and display some of her more exotic weapons at the festival, including a spiked chain, some shuriken and some nunchaku. Also among her wares was a repeating crossbow with the name "Vansaya" carved into its stock. She told Tanaka it didn't matter too much if he were actually too skilled with the weapons, most of the locals wouldn't notice either way, but that having someone exotic showing off her wares might help boost sales.
(I'm also going to post a shortened, edited version of the stuff James and Tony did last night.) If you guys want I can copy paste the whole thing in later, but for now I'll just do a summary.)
Cecilia had earlier met Ilsoari Gandethus, the man who runs the Turandarok Academy, a school/orphanage in town, and has briefly seen the museum of oddities he has collected in the basement levels of the school. On the same night that she heard the tale of the Chopper, Hitsugaya came to town, and managed to catch the middle of the story. Hearing about a murderer, and something about he beaches, he decided to set out to investigate, in case it had anything to do with his father's death. He made his way out to the beach, where he found Ilsoari looking for more relics to add to his museum. Hitsugaya introduced himself and told Ilsoari he was looking for a murderer in connection with his village. Ilsoari told him the only real murders anywhere near here had been the Chopper, but that was 5 years back. He told him a little of Stoot, and his carvings, but they agreed it wasn't likely that Stoot could have had any connection to the killings in Hitsugaya's village. Around this time, Cecilia, out for a look at the places from the story, and perhaps hoping to find some artifacts of her own arrived, and met with the other two. Having two others with some interest in Chopper's isle, Ilsoari agreed to take them over to it, and the group climbed the rickety steps up the side of the island. When they reached the top, Cecilia and Hitsugaya agreed to help Ilsoari look around to see if he could find any of Stoot's fantastic carvings of bird sculptures. In the end, they found goblin graffiti, and the remains of one of the carvings that had been taken for use by rodents as a chewing block. Ilsoari had revealed to the two that he had once been an adventurer, and he cast a few spells to help Chester, Cecilia's familiar to remove the carving. In the end, though nothing of any value was found, Ilsoari thanked the two for humoring him and attempting to find what would some day soon likely be a lost part of the town's history and a great piece of art.
