Not far across the northern sea lies a continent of snow and ice. Covering most of the southern region of the land is a great forest known as the Norfrost Taiga. Covered in show for 10 months of the year, this wild untamed land is inhabited primarily by a people known simply by most as the Norfrost Raiders. The vast majority of Norfrost Raiders are a nomadic barbarian people that survives either by traveling the the Taiga and hunting game and gathering cold iron or by sailing the seas and raiding and pillaging the lands of other. Fractured by varied tribal traditions, the Norfrost Raiders are unified by a single ruling power: The Witch King.
Ruling out of the city of Wahzholme on the southernmost tip of the continent, the witch king is said to be of an infernal bloodline gifted with great power. While most often the Northsea Raiders are seen as little more than a nuisance, on rare occasion the Witch King becomes bored with the riches of their castle and the wealth brought by trade with their city and calls a horde of raiders together and sets out to terrorize and pillage entire kingdoms in search of bloody glory and treasure.
Characterized most often by a propensity for violence, the Norfrost Raiders are actually a rather honorable lot as long as one can figure out the intricacies of the tribe to which they might belong. Some of the residents of Wahzholme can even be said to be downright civilized by the standards of Airetreins, though this doesn't change the city's well deserved reputation as a town at the ends of the earth where one has to watch their back (and front) for fast fingers and sharp daggers and even a humble fur trader might slay an unwary visitor.
