For those looking to do more codified downtime activities such as crafting, working, or putting in crafting commissions you can post here to save some thread space.
Any mundane items (with the exception of firearms) worth 8k gp or less are readily available and can be found within a day. Firearms are an extremely rare commodity (they are made in only one city in the world setting and that is very far away and not big on sharing its guns) and as such the only available firearms are Pistols, Pepperboxes, and Muskets. Expect 2d6 weeks of waiting time while whatever merchant you put the order in with tries to get one of these exceedingly rare weapons.
For magic item availability you have a 75% chance of finding any item up to 8k gp in value for sale on a given day. Anything above that will need to be commissioned. Failure to find a specific item means you are not able to find it for purchase for that day and must wait until the next day to attempt to find it. Up to 5 items per person may be purchased in this fashion per day.
Commissioned items will be completed at a rate of 1 day per 900 gp of the item's value, 500 gp per day if the required caster level of the item is greater than 7th (the maximum readily available spellcaster level of the city).
[EDIT] Looked up firearm technology level/available firearms and adjusted accordingly.

For Matthew he would be working in his parent's store and working at the church. He would also be wanting to buy Masterwork Breastplate (Agile) armor and Masterwork Heavy Steel Shield (685gp total after subtracting half price selling of armor/shield) during the down time.

Faen would spend his time acquiring a few weapons... (Scizore • Martial • 20 GP, Manople • Martial • 17GP) ...and some extra equipment... (Fishing Tackle • 20 GP, Compass • 10 GP, Elven Trail Rations - 2 Weeks • 28 GP, Bottle of Cheap Absinthe • 3 GP, Bottle of Expensive Applejack • 4 GP, Snowshoes • 5GP, 5 Grappling Arrows • 1 GP Each, Folding Ladder • 2 GP, Billiards Gear • 5 SP, Flag of Korvosa • 10 GP, Common Harp • 5 GP, Backpack Masterwork • 50 GP) He would probably try to continue doing light work with the guards for the week (Profession: Soldier • Rolled 21 = 10 GP 5 SP). Would likely check in on the sword master once during the week and with the party once at like an inn or the guard station for a meal or something. Besides that, not enough money to acquire anything nice or expensive, maybe some healing potions if possible? Other than that, Faen would spend the rest of his time with his wife at home, assiting her with things and just generally being with her. Can wands be recharged? It seemed to be a GM's choice rule... Also, how available are firearms in this campaign? Emerging or Commonplace? I'd imagine it would at least have to be one of these two since we did have a Gunslinger in the party briefly. Was thinking about one-handed ranged weapons and guns are an obvious choice, suppose there are still hand crossbows to use. At some point I will shop around for Muleback Cords.

I'll write a blurb about it later, but Hannelore bought a masterwork agile breastplate (550 GP), an ioun torch (75 GP), and a hedgehog (5 GP). She did not sell the old armored cloak, because she took off the panel on its chest with the Lancaster crest and duct taped/bolted/welded/tied it/asked the armorer to put it on the chest of the agile breastplate.

What would be the availability of a Repeating Hand Crossbow? It is Paizo's Ultimate Equipment book but is not on the SRD for some reason. Which is odd, looks like all of the weapons from Ultimate Equipment were removed from the SRD.
Repeating Hand Crossbow Cost: 800GP Damage: 1d4 Crit: 19-20 x2 Range: 30 ft. Weight: 4 lbs. Type: P Bolt Cost is same as regular Hand Crossbow
That or I'm trying to find a Monk weapon with Reach that can be used either one handed or that holding a shield would not interfere with much. Best Monk Reach option is the Kusarigama, though the Dorn Dergar (Dwarven Chain-Flail) would be cool reach weapon to use too, just couldn't use brawler's Flurry with it (Unarmed, the Fighter's Close Weapon group and Monk Weapons only). Most of them would require me to get an Exotic Weapon Proficiency for. Probably something confusing me is I'm finding cases of players using the kusarigama, the spiked chain or the Dorn Dergar while also using a shield; they're listed as two-handed weapons but can be used in one hand. The Kyoketsushoge seems like an option too; it can definitely be used one handed as a dagger, thrown as a dagger, or as a reach weapon with the blunt end. It's a weak weapon though, 1d4, but I like the idea of something else that I can use the Brawler's Flurry with.
Actually, something I just read clarification on; the sickle of the kusarigama is wielded in the off hand, and I tend to use my shield in my main hand, would a reasonable compromise be that using it as a reach weapon would cause some sort of penalty to hit? Otherwise it's just a sickle in the off hand, and unless I Flurry I probably would be attacking with it much if at all, since even if I had in hand I would likely be doing shield bashes or unarmed strikes.
Or if I want to be a cheap ass mofo and take a level of Gunslinger for free gun! Lawls. Seriously though, that would be dumb.
If I'm insistant about having an effective range or reach option I can always what till I get a BAB of +6 then take Lunge, which gives you Reach with anything at the cost of -2 AC when you do it; it's a called attack like Power Attack or Cleave. And then Monkey Lunge to get rid of the AC penalty.
Basically just planning ahead for when I can Shield Throw and want to have other attack options. Some of the weapons I have are cool but there isn't a whole lot of combat synergy yet with the ones I have and the abilities I have.
During the week of downtime Faen continued work as a guard (Profession: Soldier Roll 18 = 9 GP). Bought the Repeating Hand Crossbow (800 GP), 4 Bolt Clips (4 GP) and a Chain Sickle (12 GP).

As you go about your daily activities throughout the week rumors spread through the town. The queen has announced that the king was murdered and that she has begun investigating his death in the absence of the seneschal of Castle Korvosa. The sable company marines have begun searching for him in earnest now suspecting him of being involved in the regicide with his suspicious disappearance from the castle. Other leads are being chased and anyone who has been near the king leading up to his death is being investigated for involvement in his death.
